Complete Guide to Navy SEAL Fitness was written 15 yrs ago with 3 updates every 5 years or so. Mostly the same workout - I would classify this workout as Phase 2/3 like. There are NO weights required in the CGTNSF. It is great for turning a powerlifting / football player into a BUD/S ready candidate.

The Navy SEAL PST Phase 1 is easier than the CGTNSF. It is a perfect program to build up to that book. If your scores are below the competitive standard or not passing the PST, Phase 1 is a good place to start.

Phase 2/3 is about the same intensity as the CGTNSF but has been updated near annually with new workout ideas / changes to BUD/s. Rucking, preparing for rucking, weights, and all the higher rep cals, high miles of running as well.

Phase 4 is a gut check of very long workouts that come close to resembling a day of BUDS. This is requires several hours a day to accomplish and typically broken up through the day into 2-3 workouts a day. It even has a Hellweek simulator week. This book will help with building mental toughness - a requirement at SEAL training or any other Special Ops training program.
